La police de New York est intervenue lundi matin, peu après 7 heures (13 heures en Suisse), après une explosion «d’origine inconnue» au croisement de la 42e rue et de la 8e avenue à Manhattan. Elle précise sur les réseaux sociaux que trois lignes de métro sont en cours d’évacuation. Il y aurait un blessé, selon plusieurs médias dont la BBC.
Il s’agirait d’une explosion d’origine criminelle. Le suspect serait le seul blessé. Il a été arrêté, alerte l’AFP à l’instant.
